Well loved jewellery will often need maintenance work and repairs and you can trust in Lucy from Golden By Design to take the best care of your treasured items.
Golden By Design can repair any jewellery items made from gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
Jewellery repair and maintenance services include:
- Resizing
- Repair chains or fastenings
- Lengthen or shorten chainsĀ ~ gold, silver or platinum
- Re-claw or repair ring settingsĀ ~Ā replace worn or broken claws on a stone setting or where necessary make a new setting to replaceĀ an old one
- Re-shank ringsĀ ~ replace worn bands on rings with new strong band
- Pearl rethreading and reknotting
- Cleaning

Lucy will take anĀ heirloomĀ piece of jewellery to its original design, using any original materials and adding new materials as necessary. -
RemodelĀ
Lucy takes the clients existing gemstones and metal, adding new materials where necessary to custom design and make a new item of jewellery.

The Process
- Golden By Design receives your jewellery item via courier, in-person orĀ digitally as high-resolution images
- Lucy will clean and examine the jewellery
- A price estimate will be supplied
- Once you confirm you would like to move forward with the repair or remodel, Lucy will provide a timeline and get to work!
Please note that the price quoted from photos of the damaged item will be indicative only, final quote will be provided on receivingĀ the jewellery items.
If you are within the Wellington region we can arrange to collect your jewellery or you can deliver it to the Golden By Design studio. For clients outside of Wellington we require a 'Signature Required' Courier service for peace of mind and maximum security.
